HERFA project
HERFA is an Arabic word that means craft. This project objective is to document the origins and the history of the development of traditional crafts while tracking down the urban and architectural morphologies’ along with socioeconomic structural changes corresponding to changes in the crafts practice and culture. We mainly work in Egyptian cities or parts of cities where the economy of these places is dependent or strongly linked to traditional crafts. Find out more about HERFA projects and workshops here.
Recycle project
The project targets to reuse materials and turn them into urban and architectural elements. To help small start-ups and SME to set-up their work places or organize their events, we study the spaces and their needs, and design elements (tables, seating, lighting units, decorative elements, etc..) from available reusable materials that fit in the space.
